I'm a 52 year old  happily married, lesbian of color with three multiracial foster kids (a teenager and two toddlers)  and a dog, hence the title of my blog and future podcast "My Life with Her 3 Kids and a Dog." After COVID-19 disrupted the normalcy of my everyday life, I needed to change my mindset about what it was that I could actually control or NOT. I literally began to laugh out loud more often. The more I laughed, the happier I became. In order to keep my sanity, I spoke with my friends often about the meaning of living life to the fullest after turning 50.  Those conversations resulted in my decision to share some of my life's lessons with you.
